C-NLOPB announces further details regarding public consultation sessions for the Western Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Area Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Update

The Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board is announcing the date, time and location of three public consultation sessions in the Maritime Provinces for the Western Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Area Strategic Environmental Assessment Update.

The public consultation sessions are as follows:

Charlottetown, PEI Wed. Oct. 10 2012

Sydney, NS Thurs. Oct. 11 2012
(5-9 pm) Holiday Inn Waterfront

AMEC Environment and Infrastructure has been engaged by the C-NLOPB to prepare the SEA Update and to conduct public consultation sessions in locations in the Gulf of St. Lawrence region, including Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Magdalen Islands, and the Quebec north shore.

Detailed information regarding the public Open House sessions is available on the C-NLOPB website at http://www.cnlopb.nl.ca/wnlsea.shtml and will be published in newspapers and through radio and TV stations.

Information regarding public consultations in other locations will be announced as details are finalized.
