Tidal power study gets funding10/1/2012
The province and the feds are each investing $31,285 into a study looking at the location and development of a proposed tidal power servicing centre in the port of Digby.
“Digby’s location on the Bay of Fundy and its deep, ice-free harbour make it a port of choice for a service centre for the tidal power generation industry,” West Nova MP Greg Kerr said in a news release issued Friday.
The study will examine infrastructure, land and organizational requirements for the project, including potential sites for a new wharf and warehousing, fabrication and servicing facilities.
